Flora! Illuminated… Day 20

Tulip

Tulip

Barbara Regina Dietzsch. Tulipa (parrot), 1750-1759. Gouache.

The walls, also, seem to be warming themselves.
The tulips should be behind bars like dangerous animals;
They are opening like the mouth of some great African cat,
And I am aware of my heart: it opens and closes
Its bowl of red blooms out of sheer love of me.

–Sylvia Plath

    Beautifully inspirational! The video was an added bonus.

    This is just a beautiful series, all of it! What a wonderful idea to combine the flora drawings with poetry, writings, movies, etc. – just gorgeous & exceptional!!!
    The website itself is very nicely done – trtaqhe top banner drawings and the Title treatments. Makes me want to be a part of this creation!
    If you need a volunteer help with this, please ask. I would be honored to help out.
